The Skinny interview Craig Smith (6th Borough Project)

We’re gearing up for the biggest Hogmanay party of them all in a few weeks and in preparation, one of our headline artists – Craig Smith from the 6th Borough Project – was on hand to speak to The Skinny’s Ronan Martin about everything from the Edinburgh music scene through to what his ambitions are for 2015.

Having been a prominent figure in the Scottish clubbing circuit since the early 90s (he first started going out in Edinburgh in 1984) he is keen to rubbish criticism over the city’s nightlife scene and believes it is very buyout at the moment and has one thing to say to people who moan about it: ‘Put your money where your mouth is and get doing something creative to improve it, rather than being negative – make a difference. If not, shut up or move!’

Well one thing is for certain, we’ve definitely got our creative hats on in full swing as we turn The Liquid Room into Hogmanay’s biggest House & Techno event with Subb-an, Waze & Odyssey, Theo Kottis, Hector’s House and of course, Smith himself, along with a whole host of well-established local talent.
