Two of Scotland’s biggest clubbing brands joined forces in 2014 to create a new series of events across Edinburgh, paving the way for a new era of electronic music in the Scottish capital.

House & techno brand Musika and bass heavyweights Xplicit teamed up to launch Nightvision, a series of specially curated events that is split out across different seasons to bring world renowned artists from across the whole spectrum of electronic music perform across iconic venues in the city.

Series 1

Series one was launched in September 2014 and ran through until 31 December with the likes of Chase & Status, Nina Kraviz, Skream, Hot Since 82, Annie Mac, Jackmaster, Gorgon City, Waze & Odyssey, Kink, Subb-an and many more.

Series 2

Series two kicked off in January 2015 and ran until May and included sold-out shows from Duke Dumont, B.Traits, Hannah Wants and Mele, along with a mighty B2B night with Eats Everything and Green Velvet.

Series 3

Series three began in the later part of 2015 and saw the likes of Joris Vroon, Route 94, Tale of Us, Ben UFO, Floating Points, Hot Flush with Scuba, Pan-Pot and so much more.

Series 4

In 2016 series four saw Xplicit’s 11th Birthday at the Liquid Rooms with Calyx & TeeBee and DJ Zinc. The same series saw Musika’s 9th Birthday with Skream B2B AME, paranoid London and local DJ’s from Hector’s House. Series four also welcomed Tale Of Us, Hannah Wants, T.Williams, Green Velvet, Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones, Alan Fitzpatrick, George Fitzgerald and Theo Kottis.

Series 5

In September 2016, series five kicked off with Groove Armada, Darius Syrossian, Jungle, Futurekid, John Digweed, My Nu Leng and Agoria. In December Nightvision welcomed Kolsch, Richy Ahmed, Theo Kottis, Robert Hood, MK, Jackmaster and Alan Fitzpatrick.

Series 6

The final series was at the start of 2017, just before the first Terminal V was launched. Mike Skinner, Preditah and Conducta kicked of the series six launch which was followed by Musika’s 10th Birthday party. This saw East Everything, Dense & Pika and Patrick Topping ANL. Series six finished on May 13th with DUSKY at the Liquid Rooms.

Nightvision have continued to bring world-renowned DJ’s to Edinburgh’s biggest venues, however this is not under the series curation, and rather just singular bigger events. The end of 2017 saw Skream, Patrick Topping, Green Velvet, Groove Armada and Joris Voorn closing off the year.

2018 and 2019 have held some of the biggest names in Edinburgh’s biggest venues. Eats Everything, Green Velvet, Sam Paganini, My Nu Leng, Mr Scruff, George Fitzgerald, Jeff Mills and Pan-Pot to name a few. 2019 has some exciting events to be announced, so keep an eye out on our socials and blogs.
